I connect technology with teaching at the University of Calgary, specializing in educational technologies that enhance student learning. With a PhD in Computational Media Design and over three decades of experience, I translate between technical requirements and pedagogical needs across institutional contexts. My research focused on the integration of human-computer interaction (HCI) and scholarship of teaching & learning (SoTL), particularly how video game design principles can be used to better understand teaching and learning. At the Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning, I help shape institutional policies around emerging technologies while ensuring decisions are driven by sound pedagogical principles.
